2011 Mission President Assignments

Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

Jon Dana Call, 51, and Patricia Jones Call, five children, Mexico Mexico City North Mission; Juárez 1st Ward, Colonia Juárez México Stake. Brother Call is a former counselor in a stake presidency, stake clerk, high councilor, stake Young Men president, counselor in a bishopric, branch president, elders quorum president, and missionary in the Mexico Merida Mission. Self-employed, fruit grower. Born in El Paso, Texas, to Waldo Pratt and Beverly Johnson Call.

Sister call currently serves as a Relief Society president and is a former counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, stake Young Women president, Primary president, Young Women adviser, and counselor in a Relief Society presidency. Born in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Merriner LaRue and Winafred Alexander Jones.

Iván Poloski Cordón Orellana, 43, and Tirza Lorena Espinoza Barrios de Cordón, four children, El Salvador Santa Ana/Belize Mission; Canajuyu Ward, Guatemala City Palmita Stake. Brother Cordón currently serves as an Area Seventy in the Central America Area and is a former area family history adviser, stake president, high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, ward mission leader and missionary in the San Salvador El Salvador Mission. Temple Recorder, Guatemala City Guatemala Temple. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to Ovidio Cordón and Ema María Orellana Casasola.

Sister Cordón serves as a Relief Society teacher and is a former area adviser for a special multi-stake youth conference, Young Women president, counselor in a Young Women presidency, Relief Society secretary, Relief Society president and seminary teacher. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to Oscar Espinoza and Enma Isabel Barrios Maldonado.

Richard Alan Irion, 59, and Gloria Nelson Irion, seven children, Tennessee Knoxville Mission; Meadows Ward, Murray Utah South Stake. Brother Irion serves as a ward mission leader and is a former bishop, high councilor, gospel doctrine teacher, Young Men president and elders quorum president. Physician, Cottonwood Ob Gyn. Born in Marysville, Kan., to Robert Earl and Beverly Ann Ware Irion.

Sister Irion serves as a member of the Tabernacle Choir and as a receptionist in the Jordan River Utah Temple. She is a former stake Young Women president, young single adult adviser, Relief Society president, and Young Women president. Born in Washington, D.C., to Russell Marion and Dantzel White Nelson.

Jorg Klebingat, 43, and Julia Poltorak Klebingat, three children, Ukraine Kyiv Mission; Friedrichsdorf Ward, Frankfurt Germany Stake. Brother Klebingat serves as a bishop and is a former high councilor, elders quorum president and missionary in the Denver Colorado Mission. Area Distribution Manager, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop. Born in Zweibrücken, Germany, to Klaus-Peter and Doris Elke Zutter Klebingat.

Sister Klebingat serves as a seminary teacher and is a former counselor in a Primary presidency, Young Women president, Relief Society president, counselor in a Relief Society presidency and Relief Society teacher. Born in Riga, Latvia, to Viktor and Galina Tunjova Poltorak.

Richard Lorin Miles, 59, and Brenda Nelson Miles, five children, Alpine German-Speaking Mission; Mueller Park 9th Ward, Bountiful Utah Mueller Park Stake. Brother Miles serves as a temple ordinance worker in the Bountiful Utah Temple and as a high priest group leader. He is a former bishop, high councilor, Sunday School teacher, Young Men president and missionary in the North German-Hamburg Mission. Partner and Owner, Western States Lodging. Born in Cedar City, Utah, to Lorin Church and LaRae Haight Miles.

Sister Miles serves as a Relief Society president and is a former stake Young Women camp director, counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, Young Women president, counselor in a Relief Society presidency, Primary chorister and counselor in a Primary presidency. Born in Boston, Mass., to Russell Marion and Dantzel White Nelson.

Paul Francis Smart, 50, and Karen Lucille Thomas Smart, four children, California Riverside Mission; Highland 13th Ward, Highland Utah Stake. Brother Smart serves as a bishop and is a former stake mission president, high councilor, ward clerk, executive secretary, counselor in an elders quorum presidency, Primary worker, counselor in a Young Men presidency and missionary in the Philippines Baguio Mission. Owner, Smart Capitol. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Grant Winters and Mary Lucille Hulme Smart.

Sister Smart serves as a nursery worker and is a former counselor in a stake Primary presidency, Sunday School teacher, nursery leader, counselor in a Young Women presidency, counselor in a Primary presidency, counselor in a Relief Society presidency, Primary president, enrichment leader and Primary worker. Born in Santa Cruz, Calif., to Glen Elwin and Thelma Marie Thomas.

Jimmy Michael Wall, 64, and Constance Mae Smith Wall, five children, Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission; Heughs Canyon Ward, Salt Lake Cottonwood Stake. Brother Wall serves as a Church Service Missionary and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, Young Men president and missionary in the North Central States Mission. Retired publisher, Deseret News. Born in Price, Utah, to Clettus Patrick and Edna Hanson Wall.

Sister Wall serves with her husband as a Church Service Missionary and is a former stake Relief Society counselor, Relief Society president, Young Women president, Primary president, Relief Society teacher, seminary teacher and stake music chairman. Born in Logan, Utah, to Delmont King and Velva Lee Stokes Smith.
